  • Ensure mouser.com is functional in all supported browsers
  • Avoid features that are only supported in certain browsers

The latest versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, and Safari work consistently
and reliably on mouser.com.

Mouser Electronics supports the following browsers. Other browsers may work as well.

To be compatible with all features on mouser.com, your browser should be configured to use:

  • Style Sheets (CSS)
Neither JavaScript nor Style Sheets are required to use mouser.com. Mouser utilizes these
browser features to enhance your experience on mouser.com.
 
Browser Requirements for Placing an Order
To build a shopping cart, place an order or register for a My Mouser account, your browser must
be configured to:
  • accept "first-party" and "session" cookies
  • accept "persistent" cookies (required for our shopping cart)
  • support a minimum of 40 bit (international) SSL encryption
Even if you are using a supported browser, you will not be able to place an order if you have
disabled "persistent" cookies or if you are not allowing SSL encryption.
 
Additional Information about Cookies
In order to make certain parts of mouser.com function correctly, cookies are utilized. Cookies are
used to link you to your shopping cart and to session information while logged in. Although you
can still browse and search for products, you must have cookies enabled in order to add items to
your shopping cart or to create/log into a My Mouser account.
 
What Cookies Can Do

  • Cookies can be encrypted to protect the information placed in them.
  • Cookies can be used to persist settings on a website such as how many search results per
    page you would like.
  • Cookies ensure that personal information, such as your account or your current order, only
    gets displayed in your browser -- not someone else's.

  • Cookies we send to your Internet browser cannot be seen by other websites, only
    www.mouser.com can see them. Nor can www.mouser.com see cookies created by other
    websites.
  • Cookies do not allow a web site to "see" into your computer.
  • Cookies cannot retrieve the user's email address or hard drive contents.
  • Cookies cannot transmit computer viruses.

  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar and select Options in the drop down menu.
  2. Select Privacy in the left hand pane.
  3. In the Privacy window, expand the Cookies section.
  4. Check the Allow Sites to set cookies checkbox.
Opera 8.x
  1. Click on Tools in the top menu bar and select Preferences in the drop down menu.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Select the Cookies option in the left menu bar
  4. Select "accept all cookies" from the Normal Cookies drop down menu.
  5. Select "OK" to close the menu.
Internet Explorer 6.0
  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar and select Internet Options in the drop down menu.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab.
  3. Make sure the privacy settings slider is set to Medium, Low or Accept All Cookies.
Internet Explorer 5.0
  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar and select Internet Options in the drop down menu.
  2. Click on the Security tab.
  3. Select the Internet Globe.
  4. Click on the Custom Level button.
  5. Scroll down the list to Cookies and select Enable for both options available.
Netscape 8.0
  1. Click on Tools in the top toolbar and select Options in the drop down menu.
  2. Select Site Controls in the left hand pane.
  3. Check the Allow Cookies checkbox.
Netscape 7.0
  1. Click on Edit in the top toolbar and select Preferences in the drop down menu.
  2. Click on Privacy and Security in the category window.
  3. Select Cookies in the menu.
  4. Select Enable All Cookies.
